After adding a few Practices and naming them, the interactions ('+', '-') can be assigned by simply clicking in the correct square (right mouse click or a double click on an interaction will provide a pop up menu). The Importance rating, which is initially enabled by going to the View menu and selecting Importance (alternately Ctrl-i), gets filled out by clicking with the right mouse button in an importance-rating field and choosing its value from its pop up-menu.
