Managing Editor of the Process Handbook
George Herman has been on the research staff at
the Center for Coordination Science since 1996 working on the Process Handbook
project. He
is the Managing Editor for the contents of this
process knowledge repository. Prior to working at MIT, he worked
at Digital Equipment Corporation
for 18 years mostly as a Logistics Information
Systems Manager. He received his BS and MS in Management from the Sloan
School in 1975.
The Process Handbook is an online repository of business processes that uses two novel concepts, those of specialization and dependencies. I am the primary author and editor of all entries in the Handbook, which number about 5,000 as of February 2001
